Light Demolition in Tallahassee

Most remodels start with a tear out, and that is where projects stall. Cabinets have to come off the wall, tile has to come up, and all of it has to leave the property before the new work can begin. We do the demo and the hauling as one job.

Our light demolition scope covers non structural interior work: kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, walls that are not load bearing, and built ins. We protect the areas that are staying, cut power and water access points responsibly, and leave the room clean and ready for your contractor.

Typical demo scope

  • Kitchen and bathroom cabinets
  • Countertops, sinks, and vanities
  • Tile, laminate, hardwood, and carpet
  • Non load bearing drywall and paneling
  • Tubs, showers, and surrounds
  • Built in shelving and closets
  • Ceiling tile and popcorn ceiling removal
  • Light fixtures and old trim
The Process

How light demolition works with us

1

Define what stays and what goes

We walk the space with you, mark protected surfaces, and confirm nothing structural is in scope.

2

Contained tear out

Floors and doorways are protected, dust is kept controlled, and we work section by section.

3

Debris out the same visit

Everything we remove is loaded into our trailer and hauled off, then the room is swept clean.

FAQs

Light Demolition questions we hear a lot

What counts as light demolition?
Non structural interior work: cabinets, flooring, fixtures, built ins, and partition walls that carry no load. We do not remove load bearing walls or perform full structural demolition.
Do you cap plumbing or electrical?
We disconnect at accessible points, but capping lines and terminating circuits should be done by your licensed plumber or electrician.
Will you protect the rest of the house?
Yes. Floors along the path out, doorways, and adjacent finished surfaces get covered before the first swing.
Can you demo just a bathroom?
Yes, single room demos are very common. A standard bathroom tear out is usually a same day job.
Is the debris haul included?
Always. Demolition and disposal are quoted together so nothing is left in your driveway.
