What happens to the shed slab or base
Sheds around here sit on all sorts of bases: a poured slab, a set of pavers or blocks, pressure treated skids, or just packed dirt. What we do with that base depends on the job. On many tear downs the slab stays put because the homeowner plans to reuse it for a new shed, a grill pad, or a workshop floor.
When you want the base gone too, say so when you ask for your estimate. Slab and footing removal is possible on a lot of jobs, but it adds labor, breaking work, and disposal weight, so it needs to be priced up front rather than added on later. Size, thickness, reinforcement, and whether we can get equipment into the backyard all factor in, and we will tell you straight if a slab is beyond what light demolition should take on.

- Small accessory structures often do not require one, but requirements vary by jurisdiction inside Leon County. We will tell you what we know for your situation and you can confirm with your local building office.
- Can you remove the concrete slab too?
- Slab removal is possible on many jobs, depending on slab size, thickness, and access. Let us know when requesting your estimate so we can price the extra labor and disposal weight.
- What if the shed is full of junk?
- We can empty it before demolition. Mention it up front so the contents are included in your quote.
- How long does shed demolition take?
- Most residential sheds come down and are hauled off in about half a day. Larger or slab mounted structures can take longer.
- Do you clean up the nails and hardware?
- Yes. We rake and sweep the footprint before we leave so the area is left safe for pets, kids, and mowers.
